President Murmu Calls on Algerian Companies to Join 'Make in India' Initiative

Algiers : Indian President Droupadi Murmu emphasized India's rapid growth and impressive progress in 'ease of doing business' during her address at the Algerian-Indian Economic Forum in the capital, Algiers. She invited Algerian companies to participate in India's 'Make in India' and 'Make for the World' initiatives. The President also noted that Algeria's rapid growth and expanding economy provide numerous opportunities in various sectors.

This information was shared in a pictorial post on President Droupadi Murmu's official X account. She stated that despite an uncertain global environment, India is experiencing rapid development. Murmu invited Algerian companies to join the 'Make in India' and 'Make for the World' initiatives, saying that India sees Algeria as a strong development partner. The total trade between our two countries stands at 1.7 billion US dollars.

The advancement of India-Algeria relations is based on our shared values, common challenges, and mutual trust. Meanwhile, the President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria's National Council, Salah Goudjil, met with President Droupadi Murmu.

President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Algeria on a three-day visit as part of her tour of three countries. This is the first visit by an Indian President to Algeria. She was warmly welcomed at the airport by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, along with other members of the Algerian government cabinet.
