Mumbai : Bollywood actor Salman Khan's family has heightened their vigilance regarding his safety in the wake of the recent murder of Baba Siddiqui, a close friend of the actor. On October 12, Siddiqui, a leader of the Nationalist Congress Party, was shot dead in Bandra East. Following the incident, police arrested several suspects linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, and investigations are ongoing.
The shocking murder has left Salman Khan's family in a state of concern, especially as the actor has reportedly received death threats. Arbaaz Khan, Salman’s brother, spoke about the situation in an interview with Zoom, saying, “We are all fine, but I wouldn’t say everything is perfectly okay. A lot of things are happening right now, and naturally, everyone is very worried and concerned about him (Salman).”
Regarding their efforts to ensure Salman’s safety, Arbaaz added, “As a family, we are constantly thinking about what more we can do for Salman. We are trying to ensure his security under the guidance of the government and police. Everyone is making efforts in their own way.”
Baba Siddiqui was very close to Salman Khan, and in response to his murder, Salman’s security has been significantly increased. A heavy police presence has been deployed outside his Galaxy Apartments and at his farmhouse in Panvel. Additionally, there have been advisories suggesting that Salman should avoid going out in the coming days.
Following the incident, Salman Khan abruptly halted the shooting of the “Weekend Ka Vaar” episode for “Bigg Boss” and rushed to Lilavati Hospital. Given the current circumstances, his appearances on the show in the near future are highly uncertain, with Karan Johar or Farah Khan likely to step in as hosts for the upcoming weekend.
