Sex Racket Busted at Andheri Spa, 4 Women Rescued; Owner Arrested, 2 Accused Absconding
Second Such Operation Uncovered in a Week in Andheri-Sakinaka Belt

Mumbai, July 2: In a major crackdown on human trafficking and illegal sex trade, the MIDC Police have busted yet another sex racket operating under the guise of a massage parlour in Andheri (East). The raid, conducted at the Blue Moon Spa located in the Gaondevi Marol area of the Indo-Saigaon Industrial Estate, led to the rescue of four women and the arrest of the spa’s owner.
The arrested accused has been identified as Rukaiya Anis Ahmed Shaikh, who has been remanded to police custody. Two other accused — Yashaswi Sanjay Singh and Vishal Laxmi Munda — are currently absconding. A police manhunt is underway to trace their whereabouts.
According to officials, the operation was initiated following a credible tip-off that the spa was involved in immoral activities. Police deployed a decoy customer to confirm the suspicions, after which a special team conducted the raid.
During the raid, four women were rescued from the premises. Investigations revealed that the spa was operating under the pretense of offering legitimate massage services, while in reality, the staff were allegedly coercing women into providing sexual services. The earnings from these acts were reportedly shared between the women and the spa management, with a significant portion being pocketed by the owner and her associates.
Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA). The rescued women have been sent for medical evaluation and are currently receiving shelter and counselling at a rehabilitation facility.
This incident comes close on the heels of a similar sex racket bust at the Solistic Sky Spa in Sakinaka just days earlier, raising serious concerns over the growing misuse of spa and massage parlour setups for illegal activities across the Andheri-Sakinaka belt. Authorities have indicated that increased surveillance and checks will be carried out at similar establishments in the coming days.
