Shefali Jariwala Passes Away at 42 Due to Cardiac Arrest; Heartbreaking Scenes Outside Mumbai Hospital

Mumbai, June 28: In a tragic and untimely loss to the Indian entertainment industry, actress and former Bigg Boss 13 contestant Shefali Jariwala passed away late Friday night at the age of 42. According to initial reports, the actress suffered a cardiac arrest and was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai, by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, and other family members. However, she was declared dead upon arrival.
The sudden demise has left fans, fellow celebrities, and the entire film and television fraternity in shock. Heart-wrenching visuals have surfaced from outside the hospital, where a visibly shattered Sunita Jariwala, Shefali’s mother, was seen weeping inconsolably in a car. The video, shared widely on social media, captures the profound grief etched across the faces of her grieving family members.
Police officials reached Shefali’s residence shortly after the news broke to begin the standard legal procedures and initiate a formal investigation into her sudden passing.
Shefali Jariwala rose to fame in 2002 with her sensational performance in the iconic music video Kaanta Laga, earning her the nickname “Kaanta Laga Girl.” The track catapulted her to nationwide fame. She later appeared in popular dance reality shows like Nach Baliye 5 and Nach Baliye 7, and gained renewed popularity with her stint on Bigg Boss 13, where she was lauded for her candid nature and resilience.
She also had acting credits in films such as Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and the Kannada movie Hudugaru.
Her untimely death has prompted an outpouring of tributes from fans and peers alike, many remembering her as a vibrant, warm-hearted, and spirited performer whose smile lit up every room she entered.
Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family soon.
