Tamannaah Bhatia Faces Increased Troubles as ED Investigates Mahadev Betting App Case

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Tamannaah Bhatia, known for her roles in numerous films, including "Baahubali" and the recent hit "Sita 2," is reportedly facing significant legal challenges as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigates her involvement with the Mahadev Betting App. Recent reports indicate that the ED has intensified its scrutiny of the actress.

A few days ago, Tamannaah received a summons from the ED, leading to her questioning at the agency's office in Guwahati. Accompanied by her mother, she appeared for questioning on Thursday afternoon, which lasted several hours.

What Are the Allegations Against Tamannaah?

Tamannaah is accused of promoting an app called FairPlay, which is linked to the Mahadev Betting App. This platform allows users to place bets on various entertainment sectors, including cricket, poker, badminton, card games, and football. Her promotion of this app has drawn attention and intensified her legal troubles, placing her directly under the ED's radar.

Previous Summons Issued to Other Celebrities

This isn't the first time the Mahadev Betting App case has caught the attention of Bollywood stars. Last year, actors Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor also received summons from the ED in connection with this case. Additionally, comedian Kapil Sharma was questioned by the agency last year. Following these developments, Tamannaah's legal troubles seem to have escalated significantly.

According to reports from The Times of India, the ED has seized assets worth over ₹490 crore related to this case. The FairPlay app, associated with the betting scandal, offers a variety of games on which users can wager.

Allegations of Misleading Investments

Reports suggest that the Mahadev Betting App lured users by promising daily returns of ₹4,000 on an investment of ₹57,000. To facilitate fraudulent activities, shell companies allegedly created fake accounts to manage the investments, which were further funneled into cryptocurrencies and bitcoins.

Fans Express Concern

Tamannaah, who has a substantial fan base and has appeared predominantly in South Indian films, has also made her mark in Hindi cinema and web series post "Baahubali." Following news of her ED questioning circulating on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), her fans have expressed concern over her legal troubles.

As the investigation continues, the spotlight remains on Tamannaah Bhatia and her potential involvement in the Mahadev Betting App controversy.
