Three Teens Found Dead in Tamil Nadu Lake, Burn Injuries Spark Suspicion

Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu: In a chilling incident, the bodies of three 17-year-old boys were discovered in a lake in Viluthu Vadi village, Kattankulam Taluk, Kanchipuram district. The teens, identified as Vishwa, Chatriyan, and Bharat, were Class 12 students from Walajabad.

The victims were found with severe injuries, including burn marks, particularly on their faces. Preliminary investigations suggest the boys may have been dead for nearly three days before the bodies were recovered.

Acting on a tip-off, police, along with a Fire and Rescue team, retrieved the decomposed bodies on Thursday. The remains were sent to Chengalpattu Government Hospital for postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

“One suspect has been detained for questioning, and further investigations are underway to uncover the circumstances surrounding their deaths,” a police official confirmed.

The eerie discovery has left the local community in shock, with many questioning the events that led to the teens’ untimely demise.
