Mumbai Tech Executive Dies by Suicide in Agra, Leaves Heartbreaking Video

Agra, India : A 30-year-old IT executive, Manav Sharma, died by suicide at his family home in Agra after recording an emotional video detailing his marital struggles. His death came to light when the seven-minute video went viral on social media.

Sharma, who worked in Mumbai, accused his wife of infidelity in the video and pleaded for men’s issues to be acknowledged by society. He was found hanging on February 24, and a case of abetment of suicide has been registered at Sadar Police Station based on a complaint by his father, an IAF veteran.

According to the complaint, Sharma’s wife allegedly expressed interest in living with her boyfriend soon after their January 30, 2024, marriage. Sharma’s father claimed his son was threatened by his in-laws before taking his life. However, Sharma’s wife denied the allegations, stating that Manav struggled with alcohol addiction and had attempted suicide multiple times before.

DCP Suraj Rai confirmed that investigations are ongoing, and further action will depend on the evidence collected.

This tragic incident echoes a similar case from last year when a Bengaluru techie, Atul Subash, died by suicide, leaving behind a 24-page note and video.
