Gwalior Shock: 5-Year-Old Battles for Life After Brutal Assault

Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh:  A five-year-old girl is in critical condition after a violent assault in Gwalior. The accused, a 17-year-old neighbor, allegedly took her to an abandoned building on February 22, where he attacked and harmed her.

The victim sustained serious injuries and underwent major surgery, requiring 28 stitches. Reports suggest that the accused was under the influence during the crime. After regaining consciousness, the girl informed her parents, leading to a police complaint and the juvenile’s arrest.

The incident has led to widespread outrage, with the girl’s family demanding that the accused be tried as an adult. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia condemned the act and assured strict legal action.
