Tihar Jail Security Heightened as Bishnoi Gang Seeks Revenge on Shraddha Walkar’s Killer

Mumbai: An alleged member of the Bishnoi gang, recently provided crucial information to the Mumbai Crime Branch about the gang's intentions. The plan was to target Poonawala while he was being transported for a court hearing in Delhi. However, thanks to the heightened security measures in place at the time, the assassination attempt was unsuccessful.
The notorious Bishnoi gang had planned to assassinate Aaftab Poonawala, the prime accused in the gruesome murder of Shraddha Walkar, during one of his court appearances. The plot, which was reportedly orchestrated by the gang as an act of vengeance, was thwarted due to the tight security arrangements surrounding Poonawala during his legal proceedings.
The Bishnoi gang, led by infamous gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has reportedly been seeking revenge for Walkar's murder, which they consider an affront to their code of honor. Walkar’s murder, followed by the chilling manner in which her body was dismembered and disposed of, has garnered significant attention and outrage across the country. The murder trial is currently underway, with Poonawala facing charges of murder, dismemberment, and destruction of evidence.
This development adds to the growing concerns about the safety of high-profile accused individuals facing threats from rival criminal gangs. As the legal proceedings continue, both the police and the court are expected to take further steps to ensure that justice for Shraddha Walkar is not obstructed by such extrajudicial actions.
