Tragic Accidents in Mumbai: Two Young Lives Lost in Car Collisions

Vashi (Navi Mumbai), Wadala (Mumbai): In two heartbreaking incidents, two young boys lost their lives in separate accidents in Mumbai on Saturday, December 21, 2024.
In Vashi, Navi Mumbai, a 6-year-old boy tragically died after a devastating crash. An SUV collided with a road median, and its rear part landed on the bonnet of another car the boy was traveling in. The airbags deployed, striking the child and causing fatal injuries. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the boy succumbed to his injuries. Police have filed a case against the SUV driver for negligence and rash driving. Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Ghumal from the Vashi Police station confirmed the incident took place around 11:30 pm.
In a separate incident in Wadala, Mumbai, a four-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a speeding Hyundai Creta while crossing the road near Ambedkar College. The child was part of a family living on the footpath. The car was driven by 19-year-old Bhushan Sandeep Gole, who has been arrested, and an investigation is underway.
