Vikrant Massey Wins Personality of the Year at 55th IFFI Goa

Goa, November 28, 2024: The 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) concluded with a spectacular closing ceremony at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Goa on November 28. The nine-day festival, which showcased over 200 films from 75 countries, celebrated global cinema.
Actor Vikrant Massey, known for his performance in 12th Fail, was awarded the Personality of the Year for his significant contributions to the film industry. The Best Debut Director award for an Indian feature film went to Navjyot Bandivadekar for his Marathi film Gharat Ganpati.
Swedish filmmaker Levan Akin received the prestigious ICFT-UNESCO Gandhi Medal for his film Crossing, which promotes peace and human rights. Phillip Noyce, the Australian director of classics like The Bone Collector, was honored with the Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award.
