Virar: Man Arrested for Allegedly Murdering Wife Over Suspicion of Infidelity

Virar:In a shocking incident, the Virar police have arrested a 38-year-old man, Gopal Rathod, on charges of murdering his wife, Bharati Rathod, over suspicions about her character. The crime occurred on the night of September 13 at Ekvira Building in Virar’s Vatewadi area. Gopal allegedly stabbed his 32-year-old wife before fleeing the scene.

Acting swiftly, the police apprehended Gopal at Kalyan Station as he attempted to escape the city. After receiving the report, law enforcement officials arrived at the crime scene and sent Bharati’s body for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. A relative of the victim provided crucial information, leading the police to file an FIR against Gopal.

According to a report ,Gopal and Bharati had been married for 15 years and were parents to a 13-year-old daughter. Their marriage had been troubled for some time, mainly due to Gopal’s drinking habits and his frequent accusations against Bharati regarding her character. These issues frequently led to heated arguments and growing tension between the couple, ultimately culminating in this tragic event.

The police are continuing their investigation to uncover further details and have vowed to take strict action against the accused.
