Youngsters Arrested for Dangerous Stunts on Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road

Hyderabad, February 18, 2025 – Two students were arrested on Monday after performing dangerous stunts with their cars on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Hyderabad. The entire incident, which took place on February 9, was captured on CCTV and went viral on social media, sparking widespread outrage over the reckless behavior.
In the video, a Fortuner SUV was seen performing circles on the road, utilizing the handbrake, while a BMW performed a similar stunt nearby. The drivers reportedly removed their number plates to avoid identification, but their actions were still recorded on closed-circuit cameras installed along the ORR stretch, near Shamshabad.
The reckless stunts, which defied road safety norms, drew immediate attention from local authorities. "The students were seen performing stunts in two separate vehicles. After the video went viral, the police initiated an investigation and arrested both individuals," an official said.
This incident is not the first of its kind in Hyderabad. Just last week, a video was shared by VC Sajjanar, Managing Director of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation, which showed a young man performing a dangerous stunt on a motorcycle with a girl as a pillion rider. Sajjanar condemned such stunts in an X post, saying they were being glorified on social media, especially around Valentine’s Day. He urged the public to understand the potential dangers of performing stunts at high speeds, noting the risks of causing accidents that could bring harm to the individuals involved and their families.
The police have warned that dangerous stunts on public roads will not be tolerated, and individuals caught violating traffic laws will face severe consequences. The incident serves as a reminder of the critical importance of adhering to road safety rules and the dangers of reckless driving.
