Youth Kidnapped in Malvani Over Mobile Phone Dispute: Four Arrested

Malvani, Malad, Mumbai: In a shocking incident in the Malvani area of Malad, a 19-year-old youth, Amanullah Ansari, was abducted over a mobile phone dispute, with four individuals demanding a ransom of Rs 33,000. The victim was forcibly taken into a tempo by the accused and transported to Goregaon. The abduction was triggered by a previous argument, where Amanullah had taken money for a mobile phone but failed to deliver the product.
The police were alerted when Amanullah’s aunt reported the kidnapping. A quick investigation led by Sub-Inspector Amit Dhumal resulted in the swift arrest of Abhishek Singh, Ajay Pandey, Pradeep Singh, and Anwar Khan from Goregaon. Amanullah was rescued unharmed.
The accused have been charged with kidnapping, extortion, criminal conspiracy, and more under the Indian Penal Code, including Sections 364, 364A, 384, and 506. They were produced in court and remanded in police custody.
This harrowing incident highlights the danger of disputes escalating into criminal actions and the swift action of the Malvani police in securing justice.
