35 Devotees from Andhra Pradesh Injured in Maharashtra Bus Accident

Buldhana, April 18, 2025: In a tragic road accident on Friday morning, at least 35 devotees from Andhra Pradesh sustained injuries after the bus they were traveling in collided with a parked truck in Maharashtra's Buldhana district.
According to Sandeep Kale, Station House Officer of Malkapur Rural Police Station, the devotees were on a religious tour, heading to Nashik and Shirdi for ‘Dev Darshan’ when the incident occurred.
The mishap took place near Malkapur, when the private tourist bus rammed into a stationary truck by the roadside. Following the accident, local authorities and emergency responders rushed to the scene to carry out rescue operations.
All injured passengers were quickly shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. SHO Kale confirmed that three of the injured devotees are in critical condition, while the rest are being treated for minor to moderate injuries.
The police have initiated a probe to determine the exact cause of the accident. Preliminary reports suggest the driver may not have noticed the parked truck in time due to poor visibility or fatigue.
Authorities have urged all private travel operators to ensure driver alertness and adherence to traffic safety regulations, especially during long-haul religious tours.
Further updates are awaited as the investigation continues.
