Angry 'Baraati' Runs Over 9 People After Argument at Wedding in Rajasthan's Dausa

Jaipur: A violent altercation at a wedding in Dausa district of Rajasthan turned tragic when a man, part of the wedding procession, allegedly ran over nine people with his car on Sunday night. The incident occurred in Ladpura village, where tensions escalated following a dispute between the accused and the bride's brother.
According to police, the accused was part of the baraat (wedding procession) and was seen bursting firecrackers outside the wedding venue when an argument broke out with the bride's brother. The argument quickly escalated, leading the accused to storm off, get into his car, and deliberately drive it into a group of people from the bride’s side of the family.
The vehicle struck nine individuals, leaving seven critically injured. The victims, all relatives of the bride, were rushed to SMS Hospital in Jaipur for treatment. Police said that the injuries ranged from broken bones to head trauma, with some of the victims in a serious condition.
The accused, whose identity has not been released, was reportedly angry over the disagreement. Police have launched an investigation and are looking to arrest him. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, and authorities are urging people to avoid violence in such situations.
The police are continuing their probe into the matter, while local residents and family members of the injured are demanding swift justice.
