Beat the Heat: 14 New AC Local Train Services on Mumbai's Central Railway Starting April 16!"

MUMBAI: In a bid to offer passengers enhanced comfort during the scorching summer, Central Railway (CR) will introduce 14 additional AC local train services on its Main Line, starting from April 16. With this move, the total number of AC locals will rise from 66 to 80, providing more relief to daily commuters.

These new services will replace existing non-AC trains. The revised timetable includes several key routes, such as:

Up direction:

• Kalyan to CSMT: Departure at 7:34 am, reaching CSMT at 9:05 am.
  

• Badlapur to CSMT: Departure at 10:42 am, reaching CSMT at 12:12 pm.
  

• Thane to CSMT: Four trains with departures at 1:28 pm, 3:36 pm, 5:41 pm, and 7:49 pm, reaching CSMT at 2:25 pm, 4:34 pm, 6:40 pm, and 8:48 pm respectively.
  

• Badlapur to Thane: Departure at 11:04 pm, reaching Thane at 11:59 pm.
  

• Thane to Vidyavihar: Departure at 12:00 am, reaching Vidyavihar at 12:23 am.
  

Down direction:

• Vidyavihar to Kalyan: Departure at 6:26 am, reaching Kalyan at 7:25 am.
  

• CSMT to Badlapur: Departure at 9:09 am, reaching Badlapur at 10:32 am.
  

• CSMT to Thane: Four services with departures at 12:24 pm, 2:29 pm, 4:38 pm, and 6:45 pm, arriving Thane at 1:20 pm, 3:25 pm, 5:35 pm, and 7:42 pm respectively.
  

• CSMT to Badlapur: Departure at 9:08 pm, reaching Badlapur at 10:56 pm.
  

These new services will operate from Monday to Saturday, with non-AC services continuing on Sundays and designated holidays. The initiative aims to improve the comfort of passengers, especially during the heat of the summer months.
