Bihar PSC Exam Protests Disrupt Rail, Road Traffic Across Patna

Patna, Bihar: Protests have intensified in Bihar as agitators demand the cancellation of the recent Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) exam. Led by Independent MP Pappu Yadav, the protests disrupted rail and vehicular movement on Friday, notably in Patna, Araria, Purnea, and Muzaffarpur.

At Sachiwalay Halt Railway Station, protesters blocked train tracks briefly, causing delays in train operations. In Purnea and Patna, demonstrators burnt tyres, further hindering traffic flow.

The protests came just one day ahead of new exams scheduled for a select group of candidates. Prominent political figures, including Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor, who has been fasting since Thursday, joined the call for the cancellation of the 70th Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) held by BPSC on December 13.

The unrest escalated as left-leaning student organizations clashed with police while marching toward the Chief Minister's residence. The situation remains tense as the protests continue to spread across Bihar.
