CBI Polygraph Test on RG Kar Hospital Rape-Murder Suspect Shows "False and Unconvincing" Answers.

Kolkatta,In the RG Kar Hospital rape-murder case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a polygraph test on Sanjay Roy, the arrested suspect. Investigators reported on Sunday that Roy's answers to questions about his newly professed innocence were deemed "false and unconvincing." The test was administered by two designated officers at Kolkata's Presidency jail, as detailed by Rohit Khanna.
Roy's state-appointed counsel has raised concerns, accusing the CBI of breaching National Human Rights Commission guidelines by proceeding with the test without the presence of a defense lawyer. "CBI did not inform us when the test would be carried out. They ought to have notified us so that we could be present," she stated.
During the two-hour questioning, CBI sources noted that Roy appeared visibly unnerved and anxious. Despite being confronted with evidence that linked him to the rape and murder of a 31-year-old junior doctor, Roy maintained his innocence. He cited multiple "alibis" and claimed that he had encountered the victim only after she was already dead and fled out of fear.
