Renowned comedian Sunil Pal has gone missing after attending an event outside Mumbai, sparking concern among his fans and family. His wife, Sarita, filed a missing person’s complaint at the Santacruz police station after she was unable to contact him for several hours. Pal had left Mumbai for a performance and was expected to return on December 3. However, when Sarita tried reaching him, his phone was switched off, raising the alarm.
The police have initiated an investigation, gathering details about the event he attended and speaking to those close to him. Sarita expressed her deep worry, stating, “I kept calling him for hours, but there was no response. I hope he is safe and returns soon.”
Just a day before his disappearance, Sunil Pal posted a video on Instagram, showing him on a boat at an event, with the caption “#NadiyaKePaar #Standupcomedy #fun #event #show.” The post is believed to be from the event he attended.
Sunil Pal is known for his win on The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2005 and for his comedic roles in Bollywood films such as Phir Hera Pheri (2006), Bombay to Goa (2007), and Kick (2014). His last on-screen appearance was in Teri Bhabhi Hai Pagle (2018). He remains an active presence on social media, engaging with fans regularly.
The Santacruz police are working to uncover more details and track down the comedian’s whereabouts.
