Cyber Awareness Program Conducted at Opulent Banquets, Dattani Mall, Vasai (W)
Vasai, June 21, 2025 – In a continued effort to promote cyber safety and awareness among citizens, a Cyber Awareness Program was organized at Opulent Banquets, 1st Floor, Dattani Mall, Vasai West under the jurisdiction of the Mira-Bhayander, Vasai-Virar Police Commissionerate.
The initiative was conducted on the directives of the Hon’ble Police Commissioner, aimed at educating the public about growing cyber threats. The session, held at 7:00 PM, was conducted by Police Sub-Inspector Prasad Shenolkar of the Cyber Police Station, who addressed an audience of 60 participants, ranging in age from 16 to 70 years, including teaching and non-teaching staff.
The session covered the following key topics:

Trending Cyber Crimes – A detailed explanation of current and frequently occurring cyber offenses.

Crimes Related to Social Media – Awareness regarding online behavior, privacy, and potential legal issues.

Preventive Measures – Guidance on how to avoid becoming a victim of online scams and fraud.

Reporting Mechanism – Information on where and how to report a cybercrime, including emergency contacts and official complaint platforms.
Participants were also given valuable tips on how to stay secure while conducting daily online financial transactions and using social media platforms responsibly. Informative leaflets and awareness materials were distributed during the event.
The attendees responded with great enthusiasm, appreciating the practical insights shared during the session. The program received positive feedback from the audience, indicating a strong interest in such awareness drives.
