Did Saif Ali Khan Really Get Stabbed or Was It All for Show? Maharashtra Minister Questions Attack Incident

Mumbai: Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane has raised eyebrows over the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, casting doubt on the authenticity of the incident. After the actor was discharged from Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital following a violent altercation on January 16, Rane questioned whether the injury was genuine or merely staged for publicity.
Speaking at an event in Pune, Rane said, "When I saw Saif Ali Khan after he was discharged, I doubted whether he was really stabbed or just acting." He further criticized opposition leaders for seemingly offering support to the actor, claiming, “They only react when a Khan is in trouble.”
Khan, who was hospitalized for multiple stab wounds following an attack by intruder Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, a Bangladeshi national, was reportedly wounded during an attempted theft at his flat. Shehzad, arrested from Thane, had entered the actor’s residence with intentions of theft but was confronted by Saif, leading to the violent altercation.
Rane also questioned why certain leaders from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) expressed concern over Khan's case but had not spoken out about Hindu artists in similar situations, referencing support for other prominent figures such as Shahrukh Khan's son and the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
As investigations continue, the attack has sparked political debates on the response to such incidents, with a focus on local security issues. The disturbing event highlights growing concerns over intrusions and public safety, especially as Rane raised alarm over the presence of Bangladeshis in Mumbai.
