Four Bangladeshi Nationals Arrested for Illegal Stay in Juhu

Juhu, Mumbai: Four Bangladeshi nationals, including a woman, were arrested by the Crime Branch’s unit 9 in Juhu, Mumbai, for staying in India illegally. The suspects, identified as Poppy Hussain (30), Mohammad Hussain (25), Noor Makbul (55), and Faisal Sheikh (31), had been residing without proper documentation and falsely claimed Indian citizenship.

Their arrest followed a tip-off from the famous ‘encounter specialist’ Daya Nayak, leading to their capture on Wednesday. During questioning, the accused insisted they were Indians but failed to recite the national anthem, a key indicator they were not familiar with the Indian identity. A subsequent check revealed their lack of valid documents, confirming their illegal status.

The accused have been arrested under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover potential links to illegal immigration networks. Immigration officials have been alerted for further action.
