Navi Mumbai Man Arrested for Exploiting Minor Under the Guise of Job Offer

Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra: In a troubling case of exploitation, a man from Navi Mumbai has been arrested for luring a minor with a false promise of a job. The accused, Sagar Laxman Kapsekar, allegedly convinced the young girl to travel with him to Ghatkopar under the pretext of offering employment in a catering business.

The victim disclosed the incident to her mother after returning home, who then reported the matter to the Mankhurd Police Station. Based on her complaint, a case was filed under the POCSO Act to address the serious offense of child exploitation.

Kapsekar attempted to avoid capture by switching locations and phones. However, acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Sub-Inspector Bansode successfully tracked him down at Nausil Naka, Ghansoli Village, Navi Mumbai. He was arrested and brought to the Mankhurd Police Station for further legal proceedings.

Authorities continue to emphasize the importance of safeguarding children from exploitation and encourage the public to report any suspicious activities.
