RBI Receives Bomb Threat in Russian; Mumbai Police Launch Investigation

Mumbai, India: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) received a bomb threat via email written in Russian on Friday, sparking a police investigation. The threatening email, addressed to the central bank's official website, warned of plans to blow up the institution.
The Mumbai Police have registered a case against an unidentified individual at the MRA Marg police station. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 1) stated, "A case has been registered and investigations are underway to determine the source of the email."
Meanwhile, six schools in Delhi also reported bomb threats earlier in the day, causing panic. Authorities, including bomb detection squads and dog teams, conducted thorough searches of the premises, but no explosives were found as of the latest updates. Schools contacted parents, advising them to either avoid sending children to school or pick them up immediately if they had already arrived.
This follows a spate of similar threats across Delhi schools earlier this week, with 44 institutions targeted in hoax warnings on December 9.
