The family of the victim has also shown their support for the protest. The victim’s father stated at the protest site, "I hope the administration will understand the situation. Please be patient; you are compelled to protest. We hope to receive justice." The victim's mother was also present at the demonstration, expressing, "My child is on the streets today, so I couldn’t stay at home. The Chief Minister is asking people to join festivals, but this is my festival." The victim's brother demanded answers from the administration, saying, "What is the administration trying to hide? They must provide answers." He also thanked the protesting doctors, urging them to stay until justice is served.
The victim's aunt expressed strong discontent with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's statement regarding the RG Kar Medical College incident.
