Mumbai, India: A three-month-old infant was killed by her father, Parvez Siddiqui (33), who threw her to the ground during a domestic dispute in Kurla. The VB Marg Police arrested Siddiqui following a complaint from his wife, Saba Siddiqui, and registered a murder case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The tragic incident took place on Saturday afternoon at LIG Colony, Vinoba Bhave Nagar, Kurla, where Siddiqui, an unemployed man, lived with his family. The dispute started when Saba lightly slapped their elder daughter for refusing to eat. Enraged, Siddiqui assaulted his wife, snatched their infant Afiya, and threw her to the ground in front of his parents before fleeing.
The family rushed the injured infant to Bhabha Hospital, Bandra, but doctors declared her dead on arrival. Later that night, the police arrested Siddiqui, and further investigations are underway.
