Maharashtra Braces for Thunderstorms and Rains: IMD Alerts for North and Central Regions

Maharashtra, Mumbai: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather warning for some parts of Maharashtra, including North Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha. Thunderstorms, accompanied by lightning, gusty winds of 30-40 km/h, and light to moderate rainfall, are expected in these areas. Additionally, the possibility of cloud-to-ground lightning and the risk of weak trees or structures falling due to gusty winds remain a concern.
Residents are advised to avoid outdoor activities, especially in open fields, and to stay away from tall trees or structures during thunderstorms. People are also urged to distance themselves from water bodies and avoid contact with anything that conducts electricity.
In Mumbai, weather conditions will remain stable, with temperatures ranging from 22°C in the morning to 32°C during the day. The city will experience partly cloudy skies and mild haze, with light winds at 8 km/h. These weather conditions are expected to persist for the next few days, with temperatures fluctuating between 23°C to 34°C.
Keep safe, follow weather advisories, and stay informed of further IMD updates.
