Mumbai: Central Railway has announced a special traffic and power block between Kalyan and Badlapur on March 30, from 1:30 am to 4:30 am, to remove girders from an old road bridge and construct a new pipeline bridge. As a result, train services on both up and down south-east lines between Ambarnath and Badlapur will be affected.
Additionally, Mumbai’s Passenger Reservation System (PRS) will be temporarily shut down for maintenance from 11:45 pm on March 29 to 3:45 am on March 30, 2025. During this period, passengers will not be able to book tickets, request refunds, or access train scheduling services.
Long-distance trains like the Bhubaneswar-CSMT Konark Express, Visakhapatnam-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express, Hussain Sagar-CSMT Superfast Express, Hosapete-CSMT Express, and Chennai-CSMT Express will be diverted via Karjat, Panvel, and Diva.
The Central Railway has urged passengers to plan their journeys in advance and cooperate during this temporary inconvenience
