Mumbai : Two Killed in Horrific Car Accident on Elphinstone Bridge, Mumbai

Mumbai, March 29: A tragic road accident on Elphinstone Bridge in Dadar West claimed the lives of two individuals. The incident occurred around 1:35 PM when Priyanshu Amar Wandre, a 21-year-old driver, was recklessly speeding in his vehicle (MH01, ER 9779) on the north-bound lane towards Dadar Railway Station.

According to eyewitnesses, Wandre’s vehicle suddenly veered into the opposite lane, colliding head-on with a taxi (MH 01 BD 4329) coming from the opposite direction. The impact of the collision was devastating, resulting in the immediate deaths of the taxi driver, Shankar, and his female passenger, Rekha Parmar, aged 55.

Horrifying visuals of the accident have surfaced, showing the mangled remains of the vehicles and the chaotic scene that followed.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident, focusing on the causes of the reckless driving and the potential role of road safety violations. Authorities are urging drivers to adhere to traffic rules and exercise caution to prevent such tragic accidents in the future.
