Navi Mumbai Cop Dies After Being Pushed in Front of Train

Navi Mumbai: In a tragic incident, a 42-year-old policeman was killed after being pushed in front of an oncoming train in Navi Mumbai. The victim, identified as Vijay Ramesh Chavan, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities reported that Chavan was waiting at the station when an unidentified person allegedly shoved him onto the tracks. Despite immediate efforts by bystanders to help, the approaching train struck the victim, leaving him fatally injured.
Investigators have yet to determine a motive for the crime, and no suspects have been apprehended as of now. “We are reviewing CCTV footage from the station and nearby areas to identify the perpetrator,” said a senior police official.
The incident has sparked outrage and concern among residents, with calls for improved security measures at railway stations. “How can something like this happen in a crowded station with no one to stop it? We need more vigilance,” said a commuter.
