PM Modi’s Visit to Navi Mumbai: Key Traffic Alerts and Exciting Events Ahead

Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Mumbai on Wednesday, January 15, for a series of events, including the inauguration of the much-awaited ISKCON temple in Navi Mumbai's Kharghar sector 23. In light of his visit, police authorities have issued a significant traffic advisory to prevent congestion and ensure safety.
Major Traffic Divisions & Route Changes
Several areas around Kharghar will be restricted to VIP vehicles, police, emergency services, and dignitaries attending the event. Roads will be closed to general vehicles, including key routes like the one from Ove Gaon Police Chowki to J Kumar Circle. For regular commuters, alternative routes are provided to avoid the restricted zones.
No Parking Zones
The Navi Mumbai police have marked numerous areas as ‘no parking’ to further ease congestion. Important zones include routes near Hiranandani Bridge, Ove Gaon Police Chowki, and ISKCON Temple Gate Number 1.
PM Modi's Additional Engagements
In addition to the temple inauguration, PM Modi will also be dedicating three frontline naval combatants—INS Surat, INS Nilgiri, and INS Vaghsheer—at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai. Furthermore, he is scheduled to meet MLAs from the BJP-led Mahayuti government to discuss party matters and upcoming elections.
