This visit comes at a significant time as Mauritania is currently holding the presidency of the African Union. During her visit, President Murmu will hold discussions with Mauritania's President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani. Meetings with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Mauritania are also expected. Additionally, President Murmu will interact with members of the Indian community. This visit will further strengthen India-Mauritania bilateral relations.

Following Mauritania, President Murmu will visit Malawi from October 17 to 19 at the invitation of Malawi's President Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera. During her visit, President Murmu will hold bilateral meetings with Malawi's leadership, interact with leaders of major businesses and industries, and visit culturally and historically significant sites.

On the last day of her state visit to Algeria, President Droupadi Murmu witnessed the glimpse of Algeria's rich cultural and historical heritage at the archaeological site of the ancient Roman city of Tipasa. Established in the 6th century BC, Tipasa served as a prosperous cultural and trading center on the Mediterranean coast. She also visited the royal tombs of Mauritania built during the Numidian era.
