New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is arriving on a visit to Gujarat today. He will also be on a tour of his home state tomorrow. Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various projects worth more than Rs 280 crore during this period. The Press and Information Office (PIB) of the Government of India gave this information in a press release issued on the eve of the Prime Minister's visit to Gujarat. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has also shared the Prime Minister's program today on its official X handle.

According to a press release issued by the Press and Information Office, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various infrastructure and development projects worth more than Rs 280 crore at Ekta Nagar in Kevadia today at around 5:30 pm. He will address the trainee officers of the 99th Common Foundation Course on the eve of National Unity Day at around 6 pm. The theme of this year's program is Roadmap for a Self-reliant and Developed India. The 99th Common Foundation Course-Aarambh 6.0- includes 653 officer trainees from 16 civil services of India and 3 civil services of Bhutan.

According to PIB, the Prime Minister will pay floral tribute to the Statue of Unity, the statue of the country's first Home Minister and Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, at around 7:15 am the next morning. After this, the National Unity Day celebrations will be held. He will administer the Unity Day oath to everyone. The Prime Minister will also observe the Unity Day Parade on this occasion. The parade will include 16 contingents of police from nine states and one union territory, four central armed police forces, NCC and a marching band. Special attractions will include the Hell March contingent of NSG, daring performances by male and female bikers of BSF and CRPF. The BSF's show on the combination of Indian martial arts will also be a centre of attraction. School children will perform a pipe band show.
