Sanjay Raut Criticizes Central Government Over Delay in Election Schedule for Maharashtra and Jharkhand

Mumbai,  Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has openly criticized the central government, alleging undue delay in announcing the election schedule for the states of Maharashtra and Jharkhand. Speaking to reporters, Raut questioned the motives behind the delayed announcement, suggesting that it could be an attempt by the Centre to manipulate the electoral process in its favor.

Raut expressed concerns that the delay could create uncertainty among voters and political parties, potentially undermining the democratic process in these key states. "The delay in announcing the election dates is raising questions. Why is the Centre dragging its feet? This is not just a procedural lapse, but a deliberate attempt to influence the electoral outcome," Raut stated.

He further accused the central government of interfering in the functioning of the Election Commission, implying that the delay could be politically motivated. "Such delays damage the credibility of our electoral process and erode public trust," he added.

The Election Commission of India has yet to issue a statement regarding the timeline for the Maharashtra and Jharkhand elections. Meanwhile, Raut's comments have sparked a broader conversation on the transparency and fairness of the upcoming elections.

As political tensions rise, all eyes are on the Election Commission for the much-anticipated announcement, which will set the stage for the next round of state elections
