Surat Hit and Run: Tempo driver ran over a 2-year-old child and fled the scene, child died at the spot

Surat: Amid the growing concerns over accident cases in Gujarat, another tragic incident has come to light in Surat. This time, a tempo driver has caused a human tragedy, in which he ran over a two-year-old child in front of the mother and fled the scene. The family is in deep shock due to this incident.

On March 20th, Thursday, in the GIDC area of Surat, near Paper Mill, a woman was working when her child became the victim of the accident. As the woman was walking to work with her small child, a tempo driver ran over the child right in front of her. During the incident, the mother, in a state of distress, attempted to stop the tempo driver by shouting and running towards him, but all her attempts were in vain, and the tempo driver fled the scene.

The child was seen lying in a bloodied condition, and the parents immediately attempted to take the child to the hospital. However, before they could reach, the child passed away. The parents were deeply shocked, and the loss of their child caused immense grief.

After the incident, the Sachin GIDC police filed a report and initiated an investigation. The police are currently searching for the tempo driver, and based on the severity of the incident, the family has demanded strict action.
