Swift Action by Worli Police: 3-Year-Old Girl Rescued After Kidnapping

Worli, Mumbai: In a remarkable turn of events, Worli police successfully rescued a 3-year-old girl who was kidnapped on January 29 and reunited her with her family within hours. The suspect, Deepali Das, a 40-year-old domestic worker from West Bengal, allegedly lured the child with the promise of chocolate before taking her away from her home in Prem Nagar, Worli.
The mother immediately contacted the authorities when the girl failed to return, and the police quickly sprang into action. After reviewing CCTV footage from the area, police identified and arrested Das. The child was found unharmed and returned to her parents.
The accused has been charged with kidnapping under the Indian Penal Code, and further investigations are underway to understand the motive behind the crime.
