Thane Accident: Girl Killed, 10 Injured as Private Bus Crashes Into Divider in Bhiwandi

Bhiwandi, April 26: A tragic accident occurred on the Mumbai-Nashik highway in Bhiwandi on Friday, when a private bus carrying picnic-goers crashed into a divider, resulting in the death of a young girl and leaving 10 others injured.
The accident, which took place in the morning hours, was caused by brake failure, according to Dr. Mohammad Izhar Ansari, the Medical Officer at IGM Hospital. "So far, 10 people have been admitted to the hospital. Unfortunately, a girl has died from her injuries, while the others are undergoing treatment," Dr. Ansari confirmed.
One of the injured passengers, who survived the crash, shared their harrowing experience. "We were facing some issues at home, so we decided to take a bus ride. The bus seemed empty, and the driver didn't mention any mechanical issues. I had no idea that the driver was drunk. The driver also took the wrong route, and the bus crashed into a flyover pillar. The crash caused serious injuries to my wife and daughter. The entire bus was badly damaged."
Bhiwandi East MLA, Rais Shaikh, visited the injured at the hospital and spoke about the severity of the incident. "There were several people on the bus at the time of the crash. I can't provide many details yet, but I can confirm that there are multiple patients with fractures, including one girl who has a spinal injury and is being referred to the civil hospital," he said.
"The injured are conscious and alert, and none of the injuries are life-threatening at this stage," he added. "While it is tragic that a young girl has lost her life, the rest of the patients are receiving proper treatment, and the girl with the spinal injury is expected to recover."
The authorities are continuing to monitor the situation, and additional medical staff has been mobilized to assist with the treatment of the injured. Further investigations into the cause of the accident are underway.
The loss of life has left the community devastated, and condolences have poured in from various quarters, as the affected families continue to receive medical care.
