Tragedy Strikes Odisha: Two Killed, 30+ Injured as Bus Overturns in Angul

Angul, Odisha: Two people lost their lives and over 30 sustained injuries when an Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) bus overturned near Gaham in Angul district. The bus was on its way from Angul to Baripada, carrying around 50–60 passengers, when it skidded off the road on Sunday.

A quick response from police and locals led to the evacuation of injured passengers, who were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident, with initial findings pointing to a potential loss of control by the driver, who is now absconding.

In a separate incident on the same day, a tragic accident claimed the life of a student in Subarnapur district when a pick-up van, carrying 23 Class 10 students, overturned while en route to Republic Day celebrations.
