Armed Robbers Flee With ₹10 Lakh From Courier Employee in Girgaon Flat

Girgaon, Mumbai: In a shocking robbery on December 20, two armed men stole ₹10 lakh at knifepoint from a courier employee inside a flat in Girgaon. The victim, Inderkumar Motilal Prajapati, employed by a private courier company, was carrying the money for his employer, Harish Prajapati, when the incident occurred around 7 PM at Shrinath Cooperative Society, Gulalwadi Circle.
As Inderkumar and his colleague, Anuragsingh Umeshsingh Rajput, entered the flat, the robbers barged in, threatened them with a knife, and demanded the cash. After snatching the ₹10 lakh, the criminals threw chili powder into the victims' eyes, disorienting them before escaping the scene.
The frightened victims informed their employer, who advised them to report the crime to the V.P. Road Police. Police later arrested one of the suspects, identified as Yuvrajsinh Ummedsingh, 22, from Rajasthan. CCTV footage has been seized to identify the second assailant, and investigations are ongoing.
