Bengaluru Techie’s Suicide Note Alleges Harassment by Wife, Relatives, and Judge

Bengaluru, Karnataka: A 34-year-old techie from Bengaluru was found dead in his residence, with a placard that read, “Justice is due.” In a detailed suicide note, the deceased accused his wife, Nikita Singhania, her family, and a family court judge in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, of harassment and corruption. The note further alleged the judge showed misconduct and bias in his rulings, including an incident where he reportedly laughed when the wife suggested her husband should end his life due to his financial struggles.
The techie, whose identity has not been disclosed, had been paying ₹40,000 monthly in child maintenance on a ₹84,000 salary and was reportedly unable to manage the burden. He had contested the court’s decision, but his appeals were reportedly dismissed. The video shared before his death also highlighted his despair over what he called a corrupt legal system and his ongoing financial exploitation.
The case has sparked calls for judicial reforms, with family members emphasizing the bias men face in family disputes. "When the judicial system fails to act on facts, people lose faith in justice," said the deceased’s brother, Bikas Kumar.
An FIR has been filed against the wife, her family members, and the judge. The tragic case has raised important questions about accountability in marital disputes and the judicial process.
