Chief Minister Yogi to Address ABVP National Convention in Gorakhpur on Sunday

Gorakhpur, 23 November : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will address the three-day national convention of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in Gorakhpur on Sunday, 24 November. The event will include the Yashwantrao Kelkar Youth Award ceremony, where the Chief Minister will be present. This year, the prestigious award will be presented to Deepesh Nair from Thane, Maharashtra, for his significant contributions in skill development and education to inspire and empower differently-abled individuals.

More than 1,500 delegates from 44 states across India, as well as from the neighboring country Nepal, are participating in the ongoing three-day national convention of ABVP in Gorakhpur. The convention includes discussions on topics such as education, society, environment, and culture, with students, professors, and intellectuals from across the country engaging in these debates.

On the first day of the convention, 22 November, renowned industrialist and CEO of Zoho Corporation, Sridhar Vembu, inaugurated the event. In his speech, Vembu emphasized key issues such as self-reliance, entrepreneurship, employment, career guidance for youth, and artificial intelligence.

ABVP National General Secretary Virendra Solanki stated that this national convention in Gorakhpur is serving as a platform for students from various academic fields, including humanities, science, management, engineering, and medicine, to come together and determine their role in shaping the future of the country. The Yashwantrao Kelkar Youth Award is given to young individuals who have made remarkable contributions to society. This year's winner, Deepesh Nair, has guided hundreds of differently-abled individuals toward higher education.
