Horrific Crime in Jharkhand: Man Kills Live-in Partner, Dismembers Body

In a shocking incident from Jharkhand's Khunti district, a 25-year-old man, Naresh Bhengra, was arrested for murdering his live-in partner, Gangi Kumari, 24, and dismembering her body into approximately 50 pieces. The crime came to light on November 24 when a stray dog was spotted carrying human remains in a forested area near Jordag village.

The couple, who had been in a live-in relationship for years while working in Tamil Nadu, returned to Khunti on November 8 after Gangi insisted on confronting Bhengra about his secret marriage to another woman. A heated argument led to the gruesome act, where Bhengra strangled Gangi with her dupatta in a forest and used a sickle and garden hoe to dismember her body.

The discovery of the remains, along with Gangi’s belongings and identification documents, led police to apprehend Bhengra. During interrogation, he confessed to the murder. Authorities have registered a case against him, and investigations are ongoing.

This case bears chilling similarities to the 2022 murder of Shraddha Walkar in Delhi, where her live-in partner dismembered her body after killing her. Such heinous crimes continue to highlight the urgent need for addressing domestic and relationship-related violence in society.
