Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar Meets Mongolian Prime Minister in Islamabad

Islamabad : Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar met with Mongolian Prime Minister Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene in Islamabad on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. Jaishankar shared details of the meeting on his X handle, stating that they discussed strengthening bilateral partnerships and expressed happiness at meeting the Mongolian Prime Minister.

Jaishankar arrived in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, to participate in the SCO summit, where he received a warm welcome. He met Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif during a dinner organized for SCO representatives, and they exchanged brief greetings.

India has already clarified that Jaishankar's visit is not aimed at improving bilateral relations with Pakistan. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs stated that the 23rd meeting of the heads of member states of the SCO will take place on October 16. This annual meeting discusses trade and economic agendas, with Jaishankar representing the Indian delegation. India remains actively involved in various frameworks established under the SCO.
