Mumbai Water Supply Disruption: Repairs Underway in Bandra and Khar

Mumbai, December 11: Water supply to several areas in Bandra and Khar West was disrupted on Tuesday following a burst in a 600 mm water pipeline near Lucky Junction on S.V. Road in Bandra West. The leakage, reported early Tuesday morning, prompted immediate action by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

The pipeline, which supplies water to the Pali Hill reservoir in Bandra West, required significant repairs. According to civic officials, repair work is expected to be completed by Wednesday morning.

To facilitate repairs, water from the affected pipeline had to be discharged, resulting in low-pressure water supply in some areas. Officials have urged residents to use water sparingly until the issue is resolved.

“Repair works are progressing, and we request citizens to utilize water judiciously during this time,” said a BMC representative.

Normal water supply is expected to resume later today as the repair efforts conclude.
