PM Modi Receives a Grand Welcome in Mauritius with Hugs, Floral Garland, and Guard of Honor

Port Louis, Mauritius: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Mauritius for his two-day visit, where he received a grand and warm welcome. Mauritius Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam, along with his entire cabinet, greeted PM Modi at the airport with a warm hug, adorned him with a floral garland, and honored him with a Guard of Honor.

PM Modi will be the chief guest at Mauritius' National Day celebrations on March 12. The event will also witness the participation of an Indian Navy warship, a contingent of the Indian defense forces, and the Indian Air Force’s Akash Ganga skydiving team.

Highlighting the strong historical and cultural ties between India and Mauritius, PM Modi stated that the two nations share a deep mutual trust and common democratic values. He also emphasized that Mauritius is India's closest maritime neighbor in the Indian Ocean and serves as a gateway to the African continent.
