Police Arrest Three Habitual Criminals Planning Robbery in Goregaon

Goregaon, Mumbai: In a swift operation, the Dindoshi Police arrested three professional criminals late last night near Saibaba Nagar, Goregaon East, as they were preparing to commit a robbery. The trio, who are known for their criminal activities, were apprehended with tools typically used for breaking into shops and buildings.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Rafiq Ansari (27), Akshay Kotekar (27), and Shoaib Khan (23). Police sources stated that the suspects were acting suspiciously near Om Supermarket, which prompted a routine patrol team to investigate. Upon searching the suspects, the police recovered a set of burglary tools, including implements designed for breaking shutters and locks, which confirmed their intent to commit a crime.
Further investigation revealed that all three men have extensive criminal records. Ansari is facing 37 cases related to burglary and theft, Kotekar has 20 such cases, and Khan is linked to 17 similar incidents. The police suspect that the trio had planned multiple robberies in the area and had been targeting vulnerable locations.
The suspects were arrested and booked under sections 310(4), 310(5), and 3(5)BNS of the Indian Penal Code. They were produced before the court earlier today, and the police are continuing their investigation to uncover any potential links to other recent robberies in the region.
Authorities have praised the alertness of the Dindoshi Police team for thwarting the planned burglary, and have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
