Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Waikar's Car in Minor Accident Near Jogeshwari: Police Investigate

Jogeshwari East, Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Waikar’s car was involved in a minor accident late Sunday night near the SRPF camp gate in Jogeshwari East. The incident occurred on the Western Express Highway when an Eicher tempo collided with Waikar's vehicle. While the initial police reports suggest no injuries or casualties, the driver of the tempo is suspected to have been intoxicated during the mishap.

According to the police, the accident took place around 9:30 PM, when the tempo rammed into the MP’s car while trying to avoid a two-wheeler that suddenly appeared in the path. Despite the collision, both the tempo and Waikar’s car were lightly damaged, and no injuries were reported.

While Waikar was inside the vehicle during the crash, the authorities have confirmed that no complaints have been filed regarding the accident. The police have initiated an investigation to clarify the exact cause of the incident.

Ravindra Waikar, a prominent figure in the Shinde-led Shiv Sena faction, represents the Jogeshwari East constituency and recently won a seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
