Taxi Gets Stuck in Open Drain in Kalachowki; Locals Rush to Rescue Female Passengers

Kalachowki, Mumbai: A shocking incident occurred on Sunday night at Kalachowki, when a taxi carrying four female passengers became trapped in an open stormwater drain. The mishap took place around 8:30 pm at Shantaram Pujare chowk, near Sardar Hotel Naka.

According to reports, the drain cover had been broken the previous day, and locals had temporarily covered it with a wooden plank. Fortunately, there were no injuries to the passengers, and concerned locals quickly rushed to the scene to pull the taxi out.

The incident highlights the potential dangers of uncovered stormwater drains in busy areas, raising concerns about safety precautions and urgent repairs.
