Thane: Case Registered in Titwala Assault Incident Involving Seven Accused

Titwala, Thane May 9: A case has been registered by the Titwala police following a serious complaint lodged by a 21-year-old woman who alleged she was assaulted by five men, with the reported involvement of two female acquaintances.
According to police officials, the woman had been residing with a friend in Titwala after a temporary disagreement with her maternal aunt. On the day of the incident, while arranging to return to her aunt’s residence, she was offered help with transportation by a friend, who arrived accompanied by four others.
During the journey, the group allegedly diverted the route under the pretext of visiting a construction site. The woman later reported regaining consciousness in an unfamiliar location and feeling disoriented. She also stated that she was threatened by the group and warned not to share the incident with anyone.
The complaint was registered after she confided in her maternal aunt, who then approached the authorities. Following this, an FIR was filed against all seven individuals.
Police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and necessary legal procedures are being followed. Senior officers have assured that the case is being treated with the utmost seriousness, and support is being extended to the survivor.
